He called for a partisan recrimininations and a unity that seems increasingly who would start in Arizona rippling across the nation. Obama’s speech ended to a brutal partisanship appeared to carry little weight these past two years in Washington.

Today I read about the terrorist bombing that occurred in Moscow’s airport. The Russian Authorities said that it was an explosion that was taken place in Domodedovo Airport in Moscow and that 35 people were killed, and another 152 people were injured badly on Monday’s afternoon blast. Also, Russia’s president said that the explosion was considered as a terrorist attack.

In today's reading, on January 24,2011 in Florida, when preparing for 2 officers funeral, 11 more officers were shot. Hal Johnson, general counsel for the Florida Police Benevolent Association, says “It is a very disturbing trend for all of us”. Not only were officers being shot in Florida but there were shootings all over different states. Even though the shootings had nothing to do with each other, they relate to a shooting that happened last week.
In today’s reading I read about Detroit police arresting a suspicious man who can be a serial rapist. This began in the month of January. Raynard Coleman age 31 was taken in to custody last Wednesday without a incident. Chief Ralph Godbee stated that Raynard went after women ages 17 – 33. Chief said that the raping happed when the girls were waiting or walking by the bus stop. The young women were taken to nearby vacant buildings and they would be assaulted. If Raynard Coleman is guilty he can face life in prison.

The current event was about the body of the man who they believed shot and killed 2 officers. The 2 Officers who were killed died in a morning shootout. While trying to catch a suspect who was charged with aggravated battery warrant. Police Chief Chuck Harmon was a third officer who was shot twice and wounded but was in stable condition at the hospital.

What I read about today was that “El Chapo Guzman” Known as “El Chapo De Sinaloa” Leader of the Mexican drug cartel called “El Cartel De Sinaloa”. El Chapo Has been wanted by the D.E.A. and the Mexican Police. He has been wanted since Jan,19,01. Chapo Is still on the run.
Today I read about an explosion that killed dozens of people when it happened on Monday in the international arrivals area at Moscow’s busiest airport may have been a terrorist act. Witnesses say they saw one or two suicide bombers who blew themselves up near a cafe near where passengers exit the customs area in Domodedodo Airport. Russian authorities say as many as 35 people were killed and more than 140 were injured according to news reporters. The Russian way of dealing with acts like this is to get back to their business as they would usually do. This also happened last spring in the Moscow’s subway. This airports security procedures has been called into question.

Yoo , today I read about , a woman that confessed to a 1987 kid napping . The 44 year old woman turned herself in Sunday morning to the FBI in Bridgeport , Connecticut . A warrant had been issued to Ann Pettway for probation violation . Joy White told the New York post that she last saw her daughter when she was about 19 days old , she had taken her in because she had a high fever . The Mother had went home to get some rest & when she returned her daughter was gone . The family has been reunited , & they want the woman to be put into jail for destroying their family .
In st. Petersburg on the other side of Florida state two police officers were gunned down in the line of duty. Both police officers died and a state marshal wounded. Many people found it disturbing that 11 police officers were shot in 24 hours in the U.S. People also believe that the police officers were shot because an act of desperation. On a Sunday 4 police officers were shot in a Detroit police station, the shooter was shot to death by Detroit police officers.
Monday-Today I read About a man that allegedly threw his girlfriends 2 year old child across the room while drunk and high. The man who is 30, was charged with first degree murder after the 2 year old died in the hospital due to severe brain trauma. The man claims he was wrestling with the child, and “body slammed” the boy after the child didn’t want to play anymore.
Monday-Today I Read about: A woman named Ann Pettway turned herself in for baby snatching of a child back in 1987 from a hospital in Harlem, New York. After suffering several miscarriages and becoming frustrated with her inability to give birth.
The child that was being kidnapped was Carlina White. She was kidnapped when she was only 19 days old. After 23 years Carlina was having a feeling that she wasn’t raised by the right family.
Carlina’s mother Joy White started looking up yahoo and Google different articles for a missing child. She Finally tracked down her daughter. She took a DNA test which came back positive, and they were both reunited.
As of Ann Pettway she’s was arrested for allegedly violating her two-year probation sentence on attempted embezzlement charges. & She faces one federal kidnapping charge.

Today January 25,2011 I read about, About 4 million babies are born here in the us. Only 271 babies get abducted. Why would someone take someone else's baby? Not because they hate the person or because they envy something that person has, but simply because they want to keep a boyfriend or husband. A senior specialist mentioned that when a couples relationship is braking down the female feels that if she produces a baby the husband or boyfriend will stay with her. Most of the baby abductions happen in health care facilities, for example, where a woman that was also a hospital employee walked off with a newborn. Ann "Annugetta" Pettway confessed to doing this at the Harlem Hospital. She took a 19 day old baby. Ann confessed on Sunday when being arrested that she was unable to have babies and that’s why she took the newborn child. I cant imagine the horrible feeling of the mothers when there baby is stolen. Stealing a baby could possibly help you keep a boyfriend or husband. Not only how the women that steel the baby must feel, but the weight they must have on there shoulders.

Today I read about a mother who shot her three kids ,dog , and herself then set her house on fire. This tragic event happened in Indiana. The four bodies were found on Friday. There were two girls and 1 boy there ages were 14,9,4. The teenager Jasmine Abbott spoke to a friend about her parents divorce. The chief stated that the house had other small fire problems. Also that the dog survived the shooting and the fire and was taken to a veterinary clinic .Mom Amanda Bennett quoted to her husband “ You got what you wanted, no wife and no kids. “ Yet the reasons for her shootings were unclear.
Ashley Caracoza-Tuesday- Today I read about some women who tend to steal newborns just because they may have lots of miscarriages and/or can not be able to have babies at all. The perpetrator is not motivated by all the maternal instincts or even a burning desire for motherhood. Some of these cases are rare, but for the family that is missing the baby could be a tragic experience. I feel that stealing a baby from other families is very dumb because you could always go and adopt some other baby that has been waiting to be adopted.

With doctor in jail , brother of dead woman vows , 'We want justice‘ .
Today I read about , a doctor by the name of Dr. Kermit Gosnell is charged with seven first-degree murder charges . A woman by the name of Karnamaya Mongar died November 19, 2009, after overdosing on anesthetics prescribed by the doctor . Ghalley who is the brother told the CNN that the clinic was really dirty blood stains & a dirty floor . The woman had 4 children "All the happiness is gone, they miss their mother every day and night," referring to Mongar's four children. These children will now have to grow up with no mother & the husband will have to go on with no wife . Gosnell the doctor is scheduled to appear in court on February 9.
Today I read about a tragic murder/suicide that happened in Indiana. A mother kills her kids, 14 year old Jasmine Abbott, 9 year old Katelynn Bennett, and 4 year old Ryan Bennett before starting a fire and shooting herself. All four apparently died from gunshot wounds to the head. Amanda Bennett and Katelynn Bennett also suffered smoke inhalation, police said. The family’s dog was also shot but survived. Jasmine the teenager had been talking to friends about marital problems with her parents and about a possible divorce. However, the shooting still remain unclear.
Today in the news I read about a mother of three young children the ages of 14, 9, and 4 this thirty year old mother murdered/suicide against her children and herself and it is said that she blamed the husband for this tragic death it was seen in the internet that she wrote to her husband and said “You got what you wanted no wife, no kids.”. After shooting her children then pointing the gun at herself investigators say that the mother started a fire in her own home. It is said that the 14 year old teenager had been talking to her friends about family problems and a divorce between her mother and father. The family dog was also shot but survived and is being treated by veterinary clinic, however they say that the reason for the shooting is still unclear and is in further investigation.

Today I read about a picture posted in a Spanish speaking newspaper in Atlanta, that depicted the states new governor as a Nazi. The picture showed new Gov. Nathan Deal wearing a Nazi uniform, a swastika armband and a Hitler-like mustache. The Editor of the newspaper Rafael Navarro said the picture was meant to grab the attention of residents and politicians who often ignore the Hispanic Community. The picture represents the fear immigrants in Georgia feel with the arrival of Deal to the state's top office.

Today I readied about a mother that killed her kids and set the house on fire and then killed her self .she first shot the her oldies kid first she was 14, her name is jasmine and then she shot her other kid she was 9, and her name was katelynn and then she shot her other kid he was 4 and his name was ryan and after she shot them she set the house on fire and then she shot her self. The police said that they did not find any thing like a suicide note any thing like that I think that was so wrong.

Today I read about the Army. What I read about today was that the number of suecides in the army rose in 2010 more than in any year. It rose about 69 more deaths than in 2008.For example 50 percent in the national guard died before deployment.
Tuesday-In todays reading I learned About a doctor charged with seven first degree murder charges.It started when a woman died due to complications of medication given to her prescribed by the doctor.The family is sewing the doctor seeking damages.I believe the doctor should be treated as any regular person as far as the murder charges go.I also feel that its partly the clinics fault for not recognizing this doctors mistakes earlier and preventing alot of these deaths.This article can also help patients be more precautious about doctors they choose,they can do this by looking at the doctors credentials,history with the hospital,clinic, etc..
I also believe that if I was in this families shoes I would not stop at trying to get justice for my loved one.It also gives me second thoughts on how professional our doctors really are.

In today’s reading I read about a 15 year old girl by the name of Elizabeth Ennen. Her body was found in a motel room Wednesday. Police say she was strangled while she was baby sitting for a family friend. Elizabeth had been missing since January 5. After the girl disappeared, Salinas went to her home and talked with her mother, police said. After that, a missing persons report was filed. "He began misdirecting the investigation leading it in the opposite direction of the truth " the officer said. Police have a video of Elizabeth being taken against her will from the Carriage House Inn.

Today I read about, a piano on the sandbar. How did this piano get there? No one has any idea. Was it a prank to get attention? Was it a mad girlfriend? No idea. Pino says that there is no investigation going on, and that they do not plan on removing the piano. They say that the salt water and salt air will slowly deteriorate the piano, and it will not harm the sea life. They even thought that it was a mermaid or a fiction sea creature. That they were trying to inform us about the end of the world. I think someone put the piano there to see the deal that they would make. But I think that they should remove the piano because maybe something that they made the piano with can affect some animal in the water.
In today’s reading, I read about an alleged Arizona shooter in court. It was said that he allegedly gunned down 19 people, killing 6, at a political event for Rep. Gabrielle Gifford's will be in court Monday at 1:30 p.m. Tucson, Arizona, time. Jared Lee Loughner will appear before a federal judge to face his charges. Loughner had already been in court shortly after the January 8 shooting to face charges on three counts of attempted murder related to survivors of the rampage. Glifford's who was shot in the head, and two of her other aides, Rob Barber and Pamela Simon.
Today I read about a bill that will allow teachers to grade parents in their involvement with their child’s education. Teachers will grade parents from “satisfactory,” to “unsatisfactory”. The Bill is designed to get parents involved in their child's education. If the bill goes thru, parents will be graded from kindergarten up until third grade in their child’s involvement.

Florida Women Missing For 3 years- Kyla Porter had left her sisters house on February 15, 2008 and hasn’t been seen ever since. Kyla had moved back to Florida after a move to Georgia with her fiancé, once he got arrested for drug charges she decided that the best thing for her was to move back home with her family. Kyla was only 19 years old when she went missing. Kyla porter had moved in with her sister Lynn porter after moving back from Georgia, her sister worked till about 10:00 pm and after she went to pick up her children from her mother house, that day Lynn received a call from Kyla telling her that she was at a party and would be home in about an hour, that hour turned in to days then into week, months she never returned home her sister says the most worst part is not knowing what happen to her sister. After putting Kyla Porters case on the television the tip lines started to get a lot of background on what happen to Kyla and where she might be. Detectives say that someone has to know what happen to this 19 year old girl, still till January 26, 2011 the case on 19 year old Kyla Porter is still on, she has not yet been found but her family still has hope that one day Kyla will come back.

Brenda Charett Jensen was not able to speak for 11 years because she lost the ability to speak after a breathing tube permanently damaged her airway during surgery in 1999. The only way that she was able to communicate was through an electronic device that sounded like a robot when she used to speak, and when the batteries ran out her conversation was over. In October, she became the second person in the United States to receive a larynx transplant. Larynx is also called “voice box,” this is instrumental in breathing, swallowing, and talking. Despite of the success of the first larynx transplant, the operation has rarely been done.

A South Bay San Jose CA priest who has performed dozens of exorcisms is having his life story portrayed on the big screen in the new movie The Rite. The movie is about a priest who travels to Rome to learn how to become an exorcist. Father Gary Thomas, the priest who the films main character is based on preaches at a San Jose church. Father Thomas uses a crucifix when he performs an exorcism, he also sprinkles holy water in the room in addition to saying special prayers. In the last four years, Father Thomas has performed 40 exorcisms. He traveled to Rome in 2005 and studied under an Italian priest who was an exorcist. Father Thomas works with a team which includes a medical doctor and clinical psychologist and psychiatrist. He said in most of the cases the person is suffering from mental illness, but he said he can tell when someone is possessed by a demon.

jose o Wednesday-In today’s reading I read about a sheriff once dubbed “America’s Sheriff” was arrested for tampering with evidence.The former sheriff turned himself in Tuesday,to begin serving his 5 ½ year sentence in a colorado federal prison.It started when the former sheriff tried to persuade a former assistant to lie to a grand jury and withhold testimony.He also accepted bribes and with held evidence.The judge directed to the former sheriff that lying would not tolerated in his courtroom.After reading this I feel that our justice system is not perfect as some might believe,from crooked law enforcement officers to putting the innocent in jail, and letting the guilty go free.I believe that backround checks should be more strict when it comes to hiring law enforcement officers.This article goes to show that our justice system still needs a lot of work.

In today's event, it talks about how the kindergarten through third grade teachers are now going to grade the parents. How is that so? Kelli Stargel's bill becomes law, teachers in public schools are now to grade the parents on how involved they are with there kids. The grades that will be given out are satisfactory, unsatisfactory or needs improvement. Teachers agree that parental involvement is crucial to a child's education. But some teachers say that grading the parents is not the answer. Some parents said they laughed after hearing about the proposed legislation. I think that it’s a good thing because that way the parents that are not involved with there kids can get a wake up call and see that they need to be more into the school work with there kids.
An Ohio woman who was jailed for messing with records to get her children in a better school has been released from jail a day early, according to a local newspaper. Kelley Williams Bolar left the Summit County Jail on Wednesday serving nine days from her ten day jail sentence. Williams Bolar is a single mother living in a low income house used her father's address to register her two daughters into the high achieving suburban Copley Fairlawn school district. The case has drawn national media attention and madness, much of it due to race. Williams Bolar is African American, while the Copley Fairlawn schools are white.
Today I read about how a Japanese volcano erupted. A Japanese volcano was erupting for a second day on Thursday, spewing smoke and ash up to 9,800 feet (3,000 meters) into the air, officials said. Some people from Miyazaki voluntarily evacuated on Thursday morning but all have returned home. The government has issued to no evacuation advice, according to the Miyazaki disaster prevention office. However, the alert level was raised and people were told to stay of the mountain area. The eruption began Wednesday. The smoke was drifting southeast the observatory said. The last eruption was in July. A large scale eruption such as this one, however, however was last observed about 52 years ago meteorological.

The ever-creative drug smugglers launched marijuana via a drug catapult last week. The U.S troops observed several smugglers preparing a catapult to hurl 4 ½ pound packages of drugs over the international border. Naco Border Patrol Station of Tucson revealed the operation. U.S authorities contacted Mexican officials who broke up the operation seizing 35 pounds of marijuana.

Today I read about a man that was on the run for 31 years. The man who fled his trial on drug and racketeering charges in 1979. The man was arrested West Palm Beach, Florida.
Today I read about a 15 year old girl by the nam of Elizabeth Ennen, who was a babysitter living in Texas it was said that she had done several babysitting jobs for a man by the name of Humberto Salinas Jr 45 years old, Elizabeth went missing on January 5, it is said she was seen baby-sitting Salinas kids in a motel where he had lived, Salinas was a family friend also father of Elizabeth boyfriend. Elizabeth Ennen’s body was identified near Lubbock, Texas. Surveillance cameras say they seen Elizabeth and Salinas leaving the hotel and Salinas was holding her hand walking out of the hotel. That night of January 5, Salinas said he brought Elizabeth home and went back to the hotel to get her purse and when he came back to her house her mother asked him about her daughters whereabouts, they say that Elizabeth might have took off with Salinas son known as Elizabeth’s boyfriend. Salinas was arrested due to video seen at the hotel where he stayed and where Elizabeth had been babysitting.

In today's reading I read about how texting can lead to sex faster. In the survey of 1,200 men and women by Shape and Men's Fitness magazines, nearly 80% of women and 58% of men said they believed that using social media tools with new partners leads to sex faster. Maybe it's because constant digital communication between dates increases a sense of intimacy, and makes even days-old relationships seem longer or more intense. Or maybe it's because lovey-dovey text messages or sexting more likely amps up anticipation and paves the way to the bedroom sooner. ASHLEY CARACOZA-MONDAY- Today I read about Kalimba Marichal Ibar, a Mexican singer who was accused of raping a girl who was underage. The judge that was in charge of his case ordered his release from jail today in the morning, because the girl who says that was raped did not have enough evidence for the trial. This case has been going on ever since past December in the state of Quintana Roo. The girl who blamed him was just 17 years old but people know that Kalimba wouldn’t do such a thing like raping someone. Everyone says that she just made that up because her uncle wanted to get some money from the singer. The pop star still maintains his innocence from this trial because his rape charges declared that he had never attacked anyone. "There are many details that are very easy to criticize, judge or imagine," Kalimba said, but he urged the public to use logic when considering the case, which has received extensive coverage in Mexican media. When he had an interview in Televisa, he declined to answer a question about whether he had sexual relations with the teens consent. The 28-year-old singer is a former member of the group OV7 and also was the voice of Simba in a Spanish version of Disney's "The Lion King.“Fans gathered last week at the prison where he was being held and in Mexico City to show support.

Today I read about the NFL. Today in the NFL the GB packers are in the super we don’t know they are playing wet. We will find out in on sat. But for know we know that they are but its still unknown who’s playing them .but we know that who ever plays them its going to be good. I want to watch the game but I’m not I’m still mad that the chargers did not make it but one of these days we will make it. And today going to be good.
Thursday-In today’s reading I read about an individual named Rodney Alcala who was placed on death row in California for killing four women and a 12 year old girl, and he is now being charged with two more murders in Manhattan. These murders took place between November 1977 and June 1979 and took place in suburban Los Angeles. Most of his victims were found strangled, also beaten to death in their homes and left in secluded areas. Throughout the years Alcala has been convicted of many cases but surprisingly some of these convictions have been overturned
Today I read About a 5 year old boy who brought a loaded gun to school. The boy was caught when the small .22-caliber handgun fell out of the boys pocket and a teacher noticed it. Police are trying to find out were the boy obtained the loaded gun. As of now they don’t think it was a direct treat, because the boy didn’t seem to show the gun to anyone, or threaten anyone with it.

Investors have financed major infrastructure projects in other industries for decades including natural gas, electricity, cable television, railroads, and telecommunications.

Today I read about a police officer by the name of Jeff Stenroos in Los Angeles that made up a report of him being shot in the chest near by El Camino High School. Officer told reporter that he had been shot in the chest while he had got out of him squad car to check a man who he had seen peering in to parked vehicles, because of this alleged shooting there was a lockdown at several schools in los Angeles. A few days had went by, authorities had released a sketch of the alleged gunman, and the reward for information on the gunman had grew to $100,000. But on a Thursday night that week, Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck said Jeff Stenroos had been arrested on a felony count of filing a false police report.

Today I read about a man named Terry Harrington, that went to prison for 25 years for a crime that he didn’t commit. He was a football star in high school, when he went to prison the barber named Anne Danaher that was interested in his case. So she got involved with this case and researched the investigation. She gets a outbreak on the case. Terry Harrington gets out of prison in 2003. He works at a YMCA now.
maricelaA 94 year old man was reported missing Wednesday in the afternoon and later found unharmed on Thursday morning. He was found on the San Ysidro border crossing, Joe Trego has began to suffer memory loss. He left home to go to auto parts store and he never returned. He was driving a gold 1988 Mazda pickup truck.

Antonio Cromartie has a past of calling people out on twitter. A lot of players say its pretty childish. This time he got mad at Seattle’s Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck after he posted "Somebody ask Cromartie if he knows what CBA stands for," then Cromartie posted on twitter “I will smash your face in”. Hasselbeck’s reply was “Sorry for the joke man. No hard feelings. DB's & QB's have a hard time getting along I guess sometimes. lol“ Antonio Cromartie was a fprmer CB for the San Diego Chargers, now he plays for the New York Jets.
Mourners will gather Friday to say goodbye to a Ugandan gay rights activist who was beaten to death with a hammer in his home near the capital. Weeping family and friends gathered at the scene as questions lingered over whether David Kato was a victim of homophobia. Late last year, his name and photo were printed on the cover of a tabloid newspaper that called for gays to be executed. The story, which included a banner that said "Hang Them," reignited anti-gay sentiments and sparked an outcry from gay rights groups worldwide. Police said initial investigations are focusing on robbery in his rough Mukono neighborhood. Kato's money and some clothes were missing after the attack, authorities said.
