A 12 year old Oregon City boy was taken to the hospital Sunday night, after getting accidentally shot in the head by a friend at a neighbor’s house. Police believe the shooting was an accident and said the father of one of the boys had left two shotguns unsecured in the living room of his home after going duck hunting. Police believe the 13 year old male who lives at the address was playing with the shotgun the 13 year old apparently shot his friend while trying to scare him with what he thought was an unloaded weapon said Lt. Jim Band with the Oregon City Police Department. The kid who fired the gun was just traumatized it was his friend. Today's current event is about an under cover investigation. About people who purchased semiautomatic weapons at an Arizona air show. The officers demonstrated how easy it was it is for anybody to get semiautomatic weapons and a high capacity weapon. The investigation followed the recent shooting in Tucson Arizona that left 6 people dead and injured 13 others. The mayor presented undercover showing the sales, including illegal fire arms.
ASHLEY CARACOZA-MONDAY- Today I read about a Florida mother who allegedly told police that she shot her two teenagers to death just because they were “mouthy” was denied bond at court appearance on Monday. Julie K. Schenecker, 50, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of her 13-year-old son, Beau Powers Schenecker, and her 16-year-old daughter, Calyx Powers Schenecker. The bodies of her son and daughter were found Friday. Schenecker was found sitting on the back porch of the home, dressed in bloody clothing, authorities said. Her son was found dead in the family's SUV, parked in the garage, and her daughter was found dead in an upstairs bedroom. Schenecker's husband is in the Army, WFTS said. Police told the station he was in Qatar when his children were killed. Schenecker appeared in court Monday via video link from jail, WFTS reported. She held a tissue and wept softly during the two-minute appearance. While all this happened she wasn’t thinking good, and now that she has committed the crime she really regrets it because she lost her kids and her husband.
In today’s reading I read about a man named Lamar Deshea Moore 38 years old who sexually assaulted a 13 year old runaway girl kept her hostage 10 hours before he got shot and was wounded by police for going into a police station and did a shooting rampage. It is said the Moore held the girl against her will inside his basement, and had her handcuffed to a toilet, the 13 year old escaped in just her underwear, she ran to a near by neighborhood resident and there they contacted police. At the same time that the girl escaped Moore had walked in to the Detroit police station, and started shooting. In the shooting there was four police officers who were wounded by Lamar Deshea Moore. It is said that all four police officers that were wounded are all going to be just fine.
Today I read about a babysitter who was strangled. A body found Lubbock, Texas, has been identified as that of a baby sitter seen in a motel surveillance video with a longtime family friend charged in the case, authorities said Wednesday. The medical examiner identified the remains found Monday about seven miles outside of the city as belonging to Elizabeth Ennen, 15. She had been strangled. Elizabeth was reported missing after baby sitting at a motel for Salina’s who friends say was a friend of the Ennen family. The girl did babysitting jobs several times for Salina’s at the motel, where he lived, police said. Police have a surveillance video of Elizabeth being taken from the Carriage House Inn, but they did not know of it when they began their investigation. Salinas was married and always presented himself very respectful. But they believed he killed her while he was gone with her Steven’s said. Elizabeth was shy, interesting, loving, caring and loved music.

Today I read about a teen age boy named Jacob Juarez getting two charges of attempted murder and one charge of permutated murder and two charges of gang activity and all that for a stabbing in Down Town that happen about five mouths ago two gang member got stabbed the first 1 got stabbed in the leg like five times and the 2 one got stabbed in the chest like 2 times and the second one was in sever conditions but the first one just got little cuts and the cops came and they were at the other side of the park. and had ever body on their knee's and he made ever body empty out their pocket and then he took ever body to the car and arrested Jacob and another guy and he is getting 19 years for that and most of the homeis turned on him and that not right and they are going to get there s for that and he’s only 14 and that’s sad to me and he’s in the sheriff .org

The Pro Bowl is a AllStar game for the NFL its played in Hawaii. The Rating were the highest since 2000. They said 7 out of 10 people were watching the game in the U.S. The players don’t really try because they don’t want to get hurt in the offseason. The Probowl is usually played after the Superowl but for 2 years its been between the AFC/NFC championship and the Superbowl.

ASHLEY CARACOZA-TUESDAY- Today I read about the body of a child that was found Tuesday in a Central California canal where a car linked to a nearby kidnapping case was recovered last week. The child that was found hasn’t been identified yet, but Merced County Sheriff's Deputy Tom Mackenzie said the body matched the description of 4-year-old Juliani Cardenas, who was taken from his Stanislaus County home on Jan. 18, triggering a statewide Amber Alert. "All I can say, it's a small child that matches the physical and clothing description of the missing Amber Alert child," Mackenzie said. The search team has been combining the Delta-Mendota Canal for over a week for signs of Juliani and the suspect Jose Rodriguez. The Sheriff's Department planned to hold a news conference later in the day.
Today i read about a lady named Shelley Brown who had been adopted her mother gave her up when she was born and she had been looking for her father, Brown said that “Finding a parent or sibling is like the opposite of a death, in the sense that someone who had no place in your life suddenly appears”. Shelley Brown said that her dad was married to another women when her mom gave her up when she was born, Brown had no contact with her father until the age 28 where she found contact with her fathers mother and sister and asked if they knew where her father was and how she could go about contacting him and they didn’t give her any answers they told her that they wouldn’t help her find her father. Not long after brown had contacted her fathers mother, she got a call from her dad and her had told her that he had her contact information and that when he went back to Coatesville, Pennsylvania where brown was born that they would go and get a DNA test done. After brown got that call she said she wasn’t able to sleep from all the thrill she had about meeting her father. Five years went by and she didn’t her from her father, they told her that he had came to visit but did not contact her, a while after brown heard about her grandmothers funeral and went to see if maybe she would meet her dad she said she didn’t care if it was just a one time meeting him that she just wanted to see him and meet him, at the funeral brown went looking for the man who could be her father and her friend spotted a man who looked some what like brown when she went to ask him his name he gave her a hug and said im glad you came. Browns story is a very inspiring story.

The boy was not seriously injured . All the suspects were being held at the Lima Juvenile Detention Center in Lima , Pennsylvania .
Today I read about a boy’s body who was found in a California canal. The discovery was near Santa Nella about 25 miles south of the area being searched for Juliani Cardenas, 4, whose been missing since he was taken from his grandmother January 18. The body has not been identified but its physical appearance matches Juliani and his clothes are similar to what the little boy was wearing when he was last seen. A water authority employee found the body at around 7:38am. Tuesday. Authorities on Saturday had called of the investigation. Friday night, divers in the canal located the vehicle belonging to the alleged kidnapper, Jose Esteban Rodriguez, but there was no sign of him or the child.

Today's reading talked about, a 9-year-old little girl who was found in a mountain view apartment January 17,2011, beat to death. Today the mother of the child, Crystal Cardenas, 25, was arrested on suspicion of murder. After the mother was arrested someone spray painted “baby killer” on the hood of her car. Family members told 10 news that the autopsy report said that she died from blunt force to the stomach. One of Cárdenas cousins said that the little's girls death was of no shock to her. The mothers story quickly changed to “she fell on a scooter” Rios asked if she would take a lie detector test and she refused. Cardenas is about 6 months pregnant right now and she's being held at Las Colinas women's jail in Santee. My opinion on all this is that no one at all could ever have a reason to kill a child. Especially one of your own. I'm speechless on this topic. They should take away all her children and never give her custody of any of them.

Authorities are investigating the death of a woman after her 12 year old son pulled his siblings out of a burning car and saved their lives. Investigators are now trying to figure out if the woman tried to kill her children and then took her own life. Action 7 News spoke to the childrens' father who's jubilant that his kids survived. For Miles, it’s a miracle and a tragedy. He said his ex-wife, Gaylynn Miles, pulled over in a remote part of Cibola County and Miles made everyone take a large amount of pills. What we do know is that they all took the same amount, from mom to the kids,” Cibola County Undersheriff Tony Mace said. Mace said everyone fell asleep with the car running and at some point the catalytic converter caught on fire. “My son Timmy, he said he woke up to the smoke coming up and he said he tried to put it out and he said it kept on coming out,” Miles said. That was when 12 year old Timmy Miles pulled everyone out of the burning car.

The Super bowl teams have the top two defensive players Clay Mathews and Troy Polamalu. Troy Polamalu from the Pittsburgh Steelers won the Defensive player of the year. My vote went to Clay Mathews, a linebacker from the Green bay Packers. Both of the teams are going play for the championship this Sunday at Dallas, Texas.

In today’s reading , before a man went on a shooting rampage inside a Detroit police station, he kidnapped and sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl who escaped hours before the police attack, authorities confirmed Sunday. Lamar Deshea Moore, 38, who was mortally wounded by police, wounded four officers January 23. Police say Moore kidnapped the runaway girl about 10 days before, police Sgt. "The assault case is closed," said the spokeswoman. "She was kidnapped, held hostage, sexually assaulted and escaped.“Moore held the girl against her will in the basement of his home, said Stephens, adding the victim also was handcuffed to a toilet. The unidentified girl escaped in her underwear hours before Moore's attack, police said. "She was still wearing the handcuffs" when she rushed to a neighborhood resident who contacted police, Stephens said.

A search warrant filed in Tampa, Florida, Tuesday says a mother was unconscious and wearing a bloody robe and her two deceased children were covered in blankets when police arrived . Schenecker is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the January 28 deaths of her 13-year-old son, & her 16-year-old daughter . Five bullets a Smith & Wesson box and instruction manual were found in the master bedroom . Police found Calyx's body in an upstairs bedroom , She had been shot twice in the head . Beau's body was later found in the front seat of an SUV inside the home's garage he was being shot while he was getting driven to soccer practice . The mother planned this death , & she also confused to killing her two kids .

A figure skating coach was in custody Wednesday, accused of videotaping a 12-year-old girl taking a shower at his San Marcos home in 2007. Marc Mandina, 41, was arrested outside of Boston in a small city named Leominster. His arrest was for the suspicion of possessing child pornography. They have been investigating him since 2008 when a family member of the victim found the videotape and reported it. Mandina and the girls father had been friends for years. Mandina also admitted to the girls father in a text message that he recorded the video for personal use. This is so sick that he would first record the little girl in the shower, and two that he admitted to the father that he did record and that it was for his personal use. Even if it was for personal use its still wrong and sick.
President Barack Obama warned Tuesday of "difficult days ahead" for Egypt and said the transition following President Hosni Mubarak's earlier announcement that he won't run for re-election in September must begin immediately. In a brief statement to reporters at the White House, Obama pledged continuing U.S. support for both a longtime ally and the aspirations of protesting Egyptians, whose eight days of growing demonstrations led to Mubarak's dramatic announcement on state television. "We've borne witness to the beginning of a new chapter in the history of a great country and a long-time partner of the United States," Obama said of the Mubarak statement less than three hours earlier. Nothing that he and Mubarak had just spoken by phone, Obama said Mubarak "recognizes that the status quo is not sustainable and a change must take place." Repeating earlier calls for an orderly transition in Egypt from Mubarak's nearly three decades of repressive rule to a fully representative democracy, Obama said the transition "must be meaningful, it must be peaceful and it must begin now."
Today I read a story about a women in Tampa, Florida who had a search warrant and when police when to search the house they seen the lady was wearing a bloody robe, and her two deceased children where covered in blankets when the police arrived to her home. 50 year old Schenecker was charged with first degree murder in the January killing of her 13 year old son Beau and her 16 year old daughter Calyx. Schenecker said that the reason for her killing her children is because they were mouthy and they talked back to her, while searching the house after the killing, police found five bullets and a smith in the upstairs room. Reporters say Schenecker planned this because in there home there was a writing of all her emotions and what she was planning on doing. Her 16 year old daughter Calyx was abused by Schenecker and had admitted to hitting her several times. Schenecker had to arrive in court the following two days for her hearing. The children will always be remembered in Tampa Florida.

Six of the youths were arrested Monday, the seventh teen did not attend school but was arrested Tuesday morning. The attack took place January 11. The school districts security noticed and contacted police immediately. The video was taken from a cell phone where you can see the boy being attacked. He was being kicked, dragged through the snow and stuffed in a tree, he was also hung from his jacket on a tall iron fence. In the video you can hear the boy screaming as his attackers laugh. The video was confiscated before it was posted in any sites. The suspects are 13-17 and will face juvenile charges for kidnapping, aggravated assault, criminal restraint, terrorist threats, reckless endangering of another person and conspiracy.

"The main issue with how to deal with students was the ongoing investigation and the crime scene," he said, "and ultimately that was to remove them (to a nearby fairground) and get them back to their families."Placerville is in Northern California, 45 miles east of Sacramento.

Its said he was kidnapped by a man named Jose Esteban Rodriguez they believe that Jose’s remains are in the canal as well as where Juliani’s remains where found. They put a homicide warrant out on Jose until he is found. The little boy was wearing the same clothes he had been wearing when he was kidnapped. They discovered him near Santa Nella, about 31 miles south of where they were searched for Juliani, he had been missing since he had been taken from his grandmother house January 18. Are we alone in the universe? Findings by NASA's Kepler space telescope are making that seem less likely. NASA scientists have announced Kepler has spotted five planets about the size of Earth, orbiting stars in our galaxy. These planets are orbiting in what is known as the habitable zone, which puts them at a distance from their suns where liquid water could exist. Liquid water is a key ingredient for life to form. "In a generation we have gone from extraterrestrial planets being a mainstay of science fiction, to the present, where Kepler has helped turn science fiction into today's reality," said NASA Administrator Charles Bolden. The Kepler science team also announced the telescope found six planets, all larger than Earth, orbiting a single sun-like star. That star is some 2,000 light years from Earth. To date, the telescope has detected more than 1,200 planet candidates. The fact that so many planets have been found in the Milky Way galaxy "suggests there are countless planets orbiting sun-like stars in our galaxy," said William Borucki, Kepler's principal investigator. Kepler does not actually see the planets themselves. The telescope sees tiny decreases in light from the stars as planets transit across their suns.

California authorities extended their condolences Tuesday to the family of Juliani Cardenas, 4, after a body was found that they say matches his physical description. Stanislaus County Sheriff Adam Christianson said he believes the remains of Jose Esteban Rodriguez, the man accused of abducting the boy, are also in the canal. "We want to offer our deepest condolences to the Cardenas family," the sheriff said. "This is a very difficult time for them.“The clothing on the body matches what the child was wearing when he was abducted two weeks ago, Christianson said. Formal identification of the boy's body will take two to three weeks, he said. The discovery was made near Santa Nella, about 31 miles south of the area being searched for Juliani, who has been missing since he was taken from his grandmother January 18 in Patterson, Stanislaus Deputy Royjindar Singh told CNN.

Nearly two years ago, in a fight in national city a woman stabbed a girl. On Wednesday she was sentenced to 15 years to life in a state prison. Antoinette Dokes, now 20, was convicted last November of second-degree murder in the April 17, 2009, stabbing of 18-year-old Justine Brown in front of Brown's East Ninth Avenue apartment. I think that things like that happen because people take little arguments and make them bigger then they really are.

Today I read about a 9 year old girl who was found dead in spring valley. They said that after they did that autopsy buses were found. The mother is in custody right now with one charge of murder. They seek to find more evidence and even resources regarding why she would do something like that. After the autopsy the mother said an irrelevant comment bringing up when she fell off a scooter. Her own cousin is saying that she knows she did something to her. She was transfer to a more security pc institution due to the fact that she is 4 months pregnant. Some one also spray painted baby killer on the hood of her car. The reason why this trips me out its because this is my best friends niece and the mother is his cousin, I was invaded to the funeral but its too much for me to see a baby girl in a casket so I rather not. My friend doesn't think his cousin killed her but honestly now days I font even know…

ASHLEY CARACOZA-MONDAY Today I read about a Sig Alert was issued Friday after a southbound pickup truck estimated to be going 80 - 90 miles per hour in the northbound lanes of I-5 stuck a gas truck, three to four other vehicles, and the center divide near the Las Pulgas exit. The #1 and #2 lanes of northbound I-5 are expected to remain closed until around 12:30 p.m. as the wreckage is cleared. The driver of the wrong-way vehicle is described as a white male in his 60s or 70s with gray hair. His vehicle was practically split in half in the accident. Vehicles in the area were being routed through Camp Pendleton after the incident.

The 1999 Ford F150 truck, belonging to 47-year-old Tom Watson, was located around 10 a.m. by Yavapai County Sheriff's Office deputies near Horse thief Basin, just outside Crown King and about 80 miles north of Phoenix, Goodyear, Arizona police spokesman Ralph McLaughlin told CNN. Two dead bodies were inside the vehicle, which authorities preliminarily identified as those of Watson and Tara Shermerhorn, his 31-year-old former girlfriend, according to McLaughlin. No information was immediately available about how they died or the condition of their bodies. Goodyear police first began looking for Watson around 5 a.m. Thursday, after receiving a missing-persons call. He had left a note with instructions on how to get rid of his property and indicating that he was despondent, the city's police department said earlier in a statement. According to CNN affiliate KTVK, his message read, in part, "This is it."

An armed man hijacked a Greyhound bus Thursday in North Carolina and took the passengers on a short, wild ride before being arrested. The bus was traveling to Raleigh, North Carolina, when the gun-toting passenger approached the driver Thursday night, said Maureen Richmond, a Greyhound spokeswoman. The passenger screamed for the driver to pull over. The driver did. Thirty-three of passengers were allowed to get off the bus at that time, according to Vance County Sheriff Peter White. The driver, the gunman and the two remaining passengers then continued on to a nearby gas station where police were waiting. The suspect, identified as Jose Flores, was shocked with a stun gun and then arrested, said White. Flores faces a charge of one count of kidnapping, said Capt. Shawn Bridges at the Warren County jail. Authorities were trying to determine why the hijacking occurred.

Today I readied about a mother that killed her kids and set the house on fire and then killed her self .she first shot the her oldies kid first she was 14, her name is jasmine and then she shot her other kid she was 9, and her name was katelynn and then she shot her other kid he was 4 and his name was ryan and after she shot them she set the house on fire and then she shot her self. The police said that they did not find any thing like a suicide note any thing like that I think that was so wrong
