Today I read about some British schools banning make-up from their premises. One of the argument for this rule is that too many girls spend their time socializing in front of the bathroom mirrors all of their morning break, and during lunch. Some students just have been violating the rule of make-up, and use it in excess. So what the school institution has done, is prohibit make-up to girls 13 year-old to 16. Teachers revise their purses to make sure they are enforcing this rule. I think it is reasonable since make-up is not the most important part of school, it is learning. However, what’s next? Checking them with a tissue wipe? What if guy’s wear make-up?

Tuesday. Today I read about some statistics complied by the FBI that states that violent crime in the United States has declined a total of 6% last year. Aggravated assault was down 4.1% and rape declined to 5%. Also, robbery dropped to 10%. It is a nice feeling to know, that each year we become a bit more safer. With the law doing their job, and arresting people doing crimes, I’m sure we will walk the streets more calmly.

Today I read about one man was killed and another seriously injured as they tested a zip line on Hawaii's Big Island on Wednesday. The man who was killed, a 36-year-old from Maui, was about halfway across the 2,300-foot line above a stream bed when a tower holding up one end of line collapsed. He plunged 200 feet into the rocky stream bed and died at the scene. The injured worker, a 35-year-old from Ohio, fell about 30 feet from the collapsing tower and was in critical condition at Hilo Medical Center, according to a statement from the Hawaii Police Department. It's not like a construction contractor. There's no licensing. If anything they register it as a business, pay your general excise taxes, pay your unemployment insurance and all that, but I don't believe there is a license involved in this, she said.Any government regulation of zip lines would require legislative approval, she said.

The organization started properly documenting these allegations, and the stories added up to nearly 13,000 testimonies whose results were released in a report this week.

Afterward, Moammar Gadhafi's government vowed its intent to dismantle its nuclear program, and there has been no indication it was ever developed enough that it might appear in weapons. Yellowcake is processed uranium ore that can be used to produce enriched uranium for nuclear purposes, with Albright noting that it if it is not highly radioactive, in itself.
Thursday. Today I read about the controversial execution of Troy Davis. An African American man who was convicted for supposedly killing a police officer with the name of Mark MacPhail in 1989. One of the ex presidents, President Jimmy Carter, and even the Pope Benedict XVI urged for the execution to be halted. Yet neither was able to bring justice about. Today I read about the hefty last meal ordered but not eaten by an executed Texas inmate brought a complaint from a state senator and the end Thursday to the practice of special menus. Sen. John Whitmire, chairman of the Senate Criminal Justice Committee, wrote Thursday that he opposed the practice of providing a last meal of choice to the condemned. One which the perpetrator did not provide to their victim. The Democrat, who represents Houston and parts of north Harris County, said "enough is enough" after Lawrence Russell Brewer ordered two chicken fried steaks smothered in gravy with sliced onions, a triple-meat bacon cheeseburger, a cheese omelet with other ingredients, a large bowl of fried okra with ketchup, three fajitas, a pint of Blue Bell ice cream and a pound of barbecue with a half-loaf of white bread. Effective immediately, no such accommodations will be made. They will receive the same meal served to other offenders on the unit.

The meal request also included a slab of peanut butter fudge with crushed peanuts, a pizza and three root beers.
Friday. Today I read about Some biofuels, such as ethanol derived from corn and sugar, can indirectly raise the prices of staple foods in many places, along with raising ethical issues, said Gilberto Lopez Meyer, director of Airports and Auxiliary Services (ASA), the Mexican government agency that oversaw the biofuel flights. Mexico is known for its oil production, but it could be its less obvious flats of arid and marginal land that will be the future of Mexico's energy resources. The country has quietly positioned itself to become a potential leader in biofuel production as scientists develop a second generation of fuels derived from sources that don't compete for arable land or with food.
