Today I read about Afghan security forces on Monday killed a suicide bomber near where an important meeting of tribal elders will be held in the capital, Kabul, this week, the nation's Interior Ministry said.He was killed right before the first checkpoint, at least 500 meters away, Sediq Seddiqi said. He denied reports that the interior minister was in the area at the time. There have been previous reports of Taliban spokespeople being arrested that later turned out to be erroneous. Some observers believe that Zabiullah Mujahid is a name used by a series of people who speak on behalf of the group, making the definitive arrest of a spokesman hard to ascertain. The Taliban have long threatened to disrupt the event. Sunday's alleged leak was interpreted in Kabul as anything from a desperate insurgency resorting to fraudulent propaganda to a new sign of the Taliban's enhanced ability to elicit confidential information from government ministries. Regardless, the report of the leak is a sign of the information war between coalition forces and the insurgency, both of whom regularly trade blows and accusations on social media.
11-14-11 Today I read an article with the title of Security forces kill suicide bomber near meeting site. I read that Afghan security forces on Monday killed a suicide bomber near where an important meeting of tribal elders will be held in the capital, Kabul. The bomber attempted to reach the area where the meeting or loya jirga will be held, according to ministry spokesman Sediq Seddiqi. General Ayoub Salangi, chief of Kabul police, said the bomber was wearing a suit and carrying a briefcase when he was stopped.
Today I read about authorities have arrested five additional suspects connected with last week's kidnapping of major league baseball player Wilson Ramos, Venezuelan. The five Colombian citizens are among 11 people detained in connection with the case, Venezuela's justice ministry. Security forces rescued Ramos on Friday in Montalban, a mountainous region about 60 miles from the north central Venezuelan town where gunmen kidnapped him two days earlier. Ramos, a rising star for the Washington Nationals as a rookie this past year, was in his native country to play in Venezuela's winter league. But before his first game with the Aragua Tigers, gunmen kidnapped him Wednesday night from his mother's home in Santa Ines.
Today I read less than 10 years ago, Las Vegas was in the middle of a no-holds-barred building boom. But things happen, and Vegas seemed to be put on a giant "hold" for several years. The only major plan that was actually completed was the awe-inspiring City Center, which included the Mandarin Oriental and Aria hotels, as well as Crystals shopping center .Now the excitement of City Center has spilled over into the entire city: new restaurants, museums, and clubs have either recently opened or are on target for 2012. So even if you visited Vegas recently, don't assume it's still the same.

Today I read about congress is facing yet another government shutdown threat this week as it confronts the expiration Friday of its latest short-term spending bill.Congressional leaders may attach provisions to the bill ensuring funding for the Agriculture, Transportation, Justice, and Housing and Urban Development departments among other things through the end of the current fiscal year in September 2012. The short-term funding measures are necessary because Congress has failed to complete its full budget appropriations process, which has become a victim of sharp partisan divisions over spending priorities.Instead, Congress has relied on other ways to extend spending authority, such as continuing resolutions or so-called omnibus measures that bundle together multiple appropriations bills.
11-15-11Today I read an article with the title of Newly discovered tape from Kennedy assassination for sale. A newly discovered version of recordings made aboard Air Force One in the wake of President John F. Kennedy's assassination is being offered for sale at $500,000. This version has never before been heard by the public. It's exciting when you find something that's not only an antique but contributes to the historical record I read. The Raab Collection, a historic documents dealer in Philadelphia, said in a statement the recording is more than 30 minutes longer than the version at the National Archives and contains the names of people never before heard from in the aftermath of Kennedy's assassination on November 22, 1963.
Today I read about soldiers looking for drugs in the southern border state of Chiapas instead found 140 migrants inside a tractor-trailer. Two men were detained in connection to the migrants, who SEDENA said were from Central America. Chiapas, which borders Guatemala, is a major crossing point for Central American immigrants heading north. Mexican authorities apprehended about 25,000 illegal immigrants there last year, according to the country's National Migration Institute. In May, authorities said they found and detained more than 500 illegal immigrants from Central America and Asia who were crammed inside two tractor-trailers heading toward the United States.
Thursday. Today I read about a woman who is being charged with murdering her 1-year-old son. The boy was found dead in Missouri. One of the prosecutors confirmed that she will be charged with second-degree murder. Those accusations are very strong, but they began after a medical examiner said the boy died from multiple blunt force trauma. While Ms. Dasher was being interrogated, she did acknowledge the fact that she repeatedly struck her child. Why? The baby was not cooperating, it was crying, and he would not lay back down to go to sleep.
11-17-11 Today I read an article with the title ofMissouri coach arrested on DUI charge. I read that University of Missouri head football coach Gary Pinkel faces possible disciplinary action after his arrest on a drunken-driving charge.Pinkel, 59, was released on $500 bail after his arrest in Columbia, about 120 miles west of St. Louis, according to Boone County sheriff's department records. The coach said he was stopped by a deputy after having dinner with friends and was "very disappointed in myself for my lack of judgment.Nobody should drink and drive, including me," he said. "My staff and I constantly reinforce with each of our players the importance of not putting yourself into a position such as this. I did not follow that here, and for that, I sincerely apologize to the University of Missouri, to our administration, to the Board of Curators and to our fans."
Today I read about the search teams combed through rural South Carolina on Thursday morning, a day after strong storms swept through the Southeast, killing at least six people and causing injuries in several states. Two people, an adult and a child, died when a home collapsed Wednesday night in Davidson County, North Carolina, according to Lt. Alton Hanes, a spokesman with the county's emergency operations center

Today I read about China’s unmanned Shenzhou-8 spacecraft landed in the country’s Inner Mongolia region Thursday, ending a mission that saw the nation complete its first space docking, China’s state-run Xinhua news agency reported. Tiangong-1, which China launched in September, will wait in space for two more Shenzhou docking missions at least one of which will be manned planned for 2012, according to Xinhua. The launch of the Tiangong-1 lab module was the second step. If successful, it will be followed by the last phase to build a permanent space lab that will allow astronauts to conduct long-term space experiments.According to Xinhua, Beijing hopes to build a space station by around 2020.
Today I read about Japanese authorities have halted the shipment of rice from some farms northwest of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant after finding higher-than-allowed levels of radioactive cesium, local authorities. The rice was grown in the Ohnami district of Fukushima Prefecture, about 60 kilometers northwest of the plant. The prefectural government banned rice shipments from the district after tests found a sample of brown rice from one farm contained radioactive cesium at a level about 25 percent higher than government regulations allow a level that experts say would likely pose no immediate threat to human health and only a slight long-term risk. It's the latest of many limitations on livestock and produce imposed after the March disaster at Fukushima Daiichi, the worst nuclear accident since Chernobyl.

Today I read about an oil refinery in Yemen has stopped operation due to lack of raw materials, according to officials at the refinery. Senior officials at the Aden Oil refinery in Aden told CNN on Sunday that the last day of production was Thursday, following an attack in Marib province on one of the country's main oil pipelines. Opposition parties in the country said that the government is creating problems in the country to give President Ali Abdullah Saleh more time in power and raise fears among the international community that if Saleh leaves, the country will collapse. "We can only bear so much. We have been suffering almost a year and no one cares. We are human and the economic situation is now unbearable for more than 25 million in Yemen, said Salem al-Haidari, a Yemeni who lost his job seven months ago and is living on loans.
Today I read that on Monday a major league baseball player was stabbed to death in nether land. Greg Halman, 24, was found dead just after 5 a.m. Monday in Rotterdam, a police spokeswoman said. Investigators arrested his 22-year-old brother, she said. Halman played center field for the Seattle Mariners. Today I read about an Idaho man charged with trying to assassinate the president in a shooting incident outside the White House made his first court appearance in the nation's capital Monday for a brief hearing in which he was appointed federal public defenders but was not asked to enter a plea. Still with long hair and a beard as shown in photos released after authorities identified him as a suspect in the shooting, Ortega's legs were chained and he was kept handcuffed during the 15 minute hearing before Magistrate Judge Alan Kay. The judge ordered that Ortega remain jailed pending a preliminary mental competency examination in coming days as requested by prosecutors and the judge scheduled a preliminary hearing for next Monday in Washington. Earlier on the day of the shooting, Arlington County, Virginia, police stopped Ortega after receiving a report from a resident he was behaving suspiciously. He was not arrested, but the police photographed him wearing a black hooded jacket with "LA" emblazoned on it. The criminal complaint said it appears to be the same jacket investigators found in the abandoned car.

The nation's Cabinet offered to resign Monday, with one minister citing concern over the violence in Tahrir Square.
11-23-11 Today I read an article with the title of Storms complicate Thanksgiving travel. I read that It's not the kind of weather map you want to see on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Two major storms in the Northeast and the Pacific Northwest are complicating matters on one of the busiest travel days of the year. Rain has prompted flood watches in parts of Pennsylvania; up to 8 inches of snow have fallen in central parts of Maine; showers are soaking northern Florida; and wind gusts of up to 98 mph have been reported along the Oregon coast, CNN meteorologist Jacqui Jeras said. It's going to be a rough go for a whole lot of people," she said.

Today I read about Lions' Suh gets two-game suspension after Thanksgiving stomp on Packer. Ndamukong Suh was not in the holiday spirit during the Detroit Lions' 27-15 loss to the undefeated rival Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving. Now, barring an appeal, the Lions defensive tackle will miss two games without pay for stomping Evan Dietrich-Smith, and at least one observer believes Suh should give thanks for the suspension. On several plays, Green Bay’s guards . got a nice hold of Suh’s shoulder pads, and, a couple times, his facemask. We saw two instances in the second quarter, specifically, where Dietrich-Smith tugged at his helmet gear. That’s on top of all of the everyday scraps and blocks to the legs a stud DT has to handle, the blog reported. "What had to be even more frustrating for Suh? The Packers blocked him pretty well.
Today I read about Refusing to leave their camp at Los Angeles' City Hall, Occupy protesters were seeking a federal court injunction to block their removal. According to the complaint filed Monday, posted on the website of the Los Angeles Times, protesters are asking the court to address what they claim is "an unconstitutional deprivation of access to a traditional public forum, the south lawn of City Hall, for First Amendment activity. Protesters say enforcement of the city's anti-camping provision is left up to the whim of the police. Recently, they note in the complaint, protesters were allowed to camp at a park to get a wrist band for free medical services; approximately 500 movie fans camped out on sidewalks for several days ahead of the first midnight showing of the new Twilight" movie and more than 1,000 people camped out ahead of the Twilight premiere, forcing a street closure.
Today I read about a man named Anders Behring Breivik, the man accused of killing 77 people in a bomb and gun rampage in Norway in July, is insane, police said Tuesday. He was psychotic at the time of the attacks and during 13 interviews experts conducted with him, they said. He suffers "grandiose delusions" and "believes he is chosen to decide who is to live and who is to die," police announced, saying psychiatrists had found Breivik paranoid and schizophrenic. He is accused of killing dozens of people in a bomb attack in Oslo followed by a shooting rampage on nearby Utoya Island. Breivik will still be tried to determine whether he committed the murders, police said. Under Norwegian law, he cannot be sentenced to prison or preventive detention but can be confined to a mental hospital for the rest of his life, police said.
11-30-11 Today I read an article with the title of Police: Anti-Taliban leader killed in car bomb attack. As I evaluate the context I learn that Hashim Khan, an anti-Taliban tribal leader, was killed in northwest Pakistan on Wednesday when a bomb hidden in his car detonated. Two of Khan's colleagues traveling with him were injured. The explosion took place at 1 p.m. in Hangu city in Orakzai Agency, one of seven semi-autonomous tribal regions in northwest Pakistan, known to be a hotbed of militancy.Khan was an influential tribal elder who led a local resistance against the Taliban and its many factions. As I equate all the stories this one is the best.
Today Wednesday I read The impact of the story is deemed to be far more important than the accuracy," he said. Campbell blamed "an obsession with celebrity, a culture of negativity, and amorality among some of the industry's leaders" for driving a "downmarket trend" in the industry. Speed now comes ahead of accuracy, impact comes ahead of fairness, and in parts of the press anything goes to get the story first," the former journalist turned spin doctor said. And self-regulation by the press has "failed," because chairmen of the Press Complaints Commission have been "political fixers operating in the interests of the press, not the public. He was testifying at the Leveson Inquiry, a wide-ranging British government-backed inquiry into press ethics and practices in the country.

Today I read about mourners packed a church in Decatur, Georgia, Wednesday for the funeral of Robert Champion, a Florida university drum major who died this month in what officials have called a hazing-related incident. The medical examiner has not issued a report on the cause of death of the 26-year-old student. But, Chestnut said, the facts that have emerged to date point to the fact that hazing was a cause of Robert Champion's death, and it was under FAMU's watch. At a news conference with reporters Monday, she recalled the phone call she received informing her of her son's death. Last week, Florida Gov. Rick Scott sent a letter to state Department of Law Enforcement Commissioner Gerald Bailey asking the department to join the investigation to assure that the circumstances leading to Mr. Champion's death become fully known, and that if there are individuals directly or indirectly responsible for this death, they are appropriately brought to justice and held accountable.
today wednesday i read Hillary Clinton's arrival in Myanmar is something many never expected to see. It's been 50 years since a U.S. secretary of state stepped foot in the country, now shattered and isolated after decades of military rule. U.S. President Barack Obama announced Clinton's impending visit in late November, an unexpected move after a series of surprising concessions by Myanmar's new government At the time, Obama said the U.S. was seizing an opportunity to forge a new relationship with the country, which is also known as Burma. That possibility will depend upon the Burmese government taking more concrete action," Obama said.
11-Today I read about, Back in the days when Marilyn Monroe was alive people evaluated when celebrity was worn with the elegance and grace of diamonds and mink. People in the context describe Marilyn Monroe as rich and famous. People equated Marilyn Monroe with other rich people from now.

The context I read today released Wednesday it shows there are more people 65 and older than ever before in the United States. According to the 2010 numbers, they evaluated 40.3 million people age 65 and older, an increase of over 5 million since the 2000 Census. The equate older population grew at a faster rate than the population as a whole. But the best news might be for older males."Males show more rapid growth in the older population than females over the decade," said Carrie Werner, a statistician at the Census Bureau. "While females continue to outnumber males in the older ages, males continued to close the gap over the decade by increasing at a faster rate than females
As I evaluate this contexts this is the stuff that happens ever day. Hashim Khan an anti-Taliban tribal leader was killed in northwest Pakistan on Wednesday when a bomb hidden in his car detonated, police said.
Two of Khan's colleagues traveling with him were injured said police official Abdul Rashid.
The explosion took place at 1 p.m. in Hangu city in Orakzai Agency, one of seven semi-autonomous tribal regions in northwest Pakistan, known to be a hotbed of militancy. And they equate this to ever day life
Private-sector payrolls surged and planned job cuts eased in November, indicating some improvement in the job market and raising hopes for the government employment report due later this week.
The private sector added a seasonally adjusted 206,000 non-farm jobs in November, according to a monthly report issued Wednesday by payroll-processing company ADP. The company also boosted the number of private-sector jobs reported in October to 130,000 from the originally reported 110,000.
