Today I read about At a morgue in Pakistan's largest city five linen pouches each the size of a loaf of bread line the shelf of a walk in freezer.Wrapped inside each small sack is the corpse of an infant. The babies are victims of what one relief agency calls Pakistan's worst unfolding tragedy the killing and dumping of newborns.Sometimes they hang them and sometimes they kill by the knife and sometimes we find bodies which have been burned said Anwar Kazmi, a manager at Edhi Foundation Pakistan's largest privately run social service and relief agency.Records at Edhi Foundation show more than 1,200 newborns were killed and dumped in Pakistan last year, an increase of about 200 from the previous year.

Today I read about, The measure would allow for three short-term increases of the debt ceiling while at the same time letting lawmakers register their disapproval. The first increase would boost the debt limit by $700 billion and the next two by $900 billion each. But the plan doesn't contain the magnitude of spending cuts that House Republicans are looking for in exchange for a vote to increase the debt ceiling. It's not clear the measure will pass the House.
Monday. Today I read about Casey Anthony. After being freed, and re-entering society, Casey faces many obstacles. Her attorney received many direct threats towards her, and she may be in danger. Casey is being recommended for therapy. She also is being suggested to move from the community she lives in, and try to change her name. Also, she is trying to find a safe location to live, but although Casey is free from prison, she is a prisoner in life, and Casey will not ever find peace.
Today I write about Police said the 16-year-old girl was shot below the waist. She was taken to University Hospital and is expected to survive. Police said they recovered six shell casings from two different guns at the scene. They're now looking for a silver Pontiac.
Today Wednesday I read about At a morgue in Pakistan's largest city, five linen pouches , each the size of a loaf of bread -- line the shelf of a walk-in freezer. Wrapped inside each small sack is the corpse of an infant. The babies are victims of what one relief agency calls Pakistan's worst unfolding tragedy the killing and dumping of newborns. Records at Delhi Foundation show more than 1,200 newborns were killed and dumped in Pakistan last year, an increase of about 200 from the previous year.
Today I read about President Barack Obama began holding separate meetings Wednesday with top congressional Democrats and Republicans as part of ongoing talks on a measure that would raise the nation's debt ceiling by August 2 to avoid a government default. Top Democrats from both chambers began their meeting with the president just before 3 p.m., according to a White House official speaking on condition of not being identified. Later, the top two House Republicans -- Speaker John Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor -- will meet with Obama at 5 p.m., White House Press Secretary Jay Carney confirmed.
Today I read about The French Foreign Ministry condemned Tuesday the Iranian government's announcement that it was installing a new generation of centrifuges in its nuclear facilities, describing it as a new wave of provocation" that flouts United Nations resolutions. This is yet another violation of the six Security Council resolutions and the 10 IAEA Board of Governors resolutions. On top of the announcements that it plans to triple the production of uranium enriched to 20%, it clearly confirms the suspicions of the IAEA and the international community regarding the purpose of a program without any credible civilian objective. The ministry was reacting to the announcement earlier in the day by a spokesman for Iran's Foreign Ministry, who said the country is installing a new generation of centrifuges in its nuclear facilities. The announcement was reported by the state-run IRNA news agency. Ramin Mehmanparast stressed the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear activities, saying that all Iran's nuclear activities were carried out under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Tuesday. Today I read about different ways you could figure out if someone is lying to you. You can always start out by asking simple questions, such as “Where do you live?” “ What is your name?”. These type of questions will help you figure out what type of talker they are. Also, if they go from being calm to aggressive, or excited to mellow, it could mean they are lying. Another thing to look out for is when they can’t stop doing something. For example, like cleaning their glasses or wiping a table. You should look out for these signs to see if someone is lying to you.
Wednesday. Today I read about a woman, who has no resemblance to her child, and is often mistaken as the nanny. She says that at restaurants, with store clerks and other places. But one time, while with her daughter playing in a sandpit, another small little girl walked up to them, and only addressing the other child, points at the mom and asks if she was her nanny. Rose Arce says this sometimes bothers her, since people just assume she is the baby-sitter because she is Hispanic. Another reason why people assume she is just the baby-sitter is because she is older, and looks nothing like her baby.

Today I read about The defendant was transported to the courthouse compound in a military convoy. Because he is a minor, the public is not allowed inside the courtroom in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Only the judge, defense and prosecution attorneys, family members, and a human rights observer are allowed inside. Juan Carlos Castro, a spokesman for the juvenile court holding the trial, says the charges against the teenager go well beyond what he admitted on video.

Today I read about this is Linda DeRegnaucourt's last summer off. When school starts in August, it will be her last year to think about high school classes, advanced placement tests and calculus. She loves her job and the kids she teaches but she struggles to make ends meet. She's made a difficult decision to leave the teaching profession after 15 years.
7-21-11 Today I read an article with the title of 14-year-old suspected hit man on trial in Mexico. I read that the trial is being held under strict security measures. The defendant was transported to the courthouse compound in a military convoy. Because he is a minor, the public is not allowed inside the courtroom in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Only the judge defense and prosecution attorneys, family members, and a human rights observer are allowed inside. A YouTube video that circulated last year purportedly showed the teenager beating a man with a two-by-four while the man was tied at the wrists and hanging from the ceiling, as other young people watched. According to academic studies, around 30,000 children and adolescents are currently involved or may be involved in organized crime.
today i read about ,The Merced River's unusual force for this time of year made wading near a waterfall particularly deadly for three Yosemite visitors.Three hikers are presumed dead after being swept over Vernal Fall, a 317-foot waterfall at Yosemite National Park, on Tuesday, according to a National Park Service news release.Witnesses said the visitors climbed over a guardrail to put their feet in the water about 25 feet from the waterfall's edge. The hikers have been identified as Ramina Badal, 21, and Hormiz David, 22, both of Modesto, California; and Ninos Yacoub, 27, of Turlock, California. Park officials announced Wednesday that they were presuming the visitors to be dead and will intensify search efforts as soon as the river reaches a level low enough to look for bodies. The Mist Trail, where the visitors were hiking, sees about 1,500 guests each day, according to the Park Service. In May, another hiker slipped from the popular trail into the Merced and drowned. Counting Tuesday's accident, there have been six water-related deaths at Yosemite this year. Western rivers have been at record levels this summer due to large snow packs and a cool spring .At this point in the year, the Merced would typically be at about a “trickle” at Vernal Fall, said Dave Steindorf, California stewardship director for American Whitewater. Instead, the water is still gushing at levels that are rarely seen past June. Steindorf said this is great news for experienced paddlers but can create especially dangerous situations for hikers, bathers and waders who are less familiar with river hazards. Walking out into a river, if you’re up to your knees, that’s about as far as you can go with being able to maintain your footing, even with just moderate force,” Steindorf said.

Today I read about, The nuclear engineering professor at the University of Wisconsin needs a rare element to fuel his research into a fusion reactor. But the cost of the isotope -- helium-3 -- is rising faster than a rocket headed to space. A few years ago it was $1,000 a gram, this year it is $7,000 and next year, well, he assumes it will be tens of thousands of dollars. There are only about 30 kilograms of 3He on Earth, Kulcinski said. Most helium-3 comes as a byproduct of tritium, used in nuclear weapons, so the exact figure is secret.
Twelve people died in national protests that erupted in Malawi, government officials said as demonstrations were continuing for a second day Thursday. Amnesty International calls for an investigation into the deaths. Malawians are demanding government action on issues including fuel shortages. The protests began Wednesday and are continuing Thursday. The president tells protesters he is ready for talks, but urges a halt to violence.
Today I read about Although a new type of armor may resemble a camouflage diaper, it may have already saved the life of a local Marine. One month ago, Camp Pendleton-based Marine Phillip Baldwin was on patrol in Afghanistan when his life changed in a flash. He stepped on an IED and it took his legs off. Baldwin also suffered pelvic injuries, but his injuries could have been far worse. If not for new groin armor, Baldwin could have died. The armor is a wrap made of Kevlar cloth worn outside the trousers and offers protection all around the groin area.
Thursday. Today I read about a 14-year-old boy who was arrested near Mexico city. There is a video, when they arrested him, as he was trying to flee. The boy is a San Diego Native, and on an in-camera interrogation by Mexican Authorities the boy confessed to murdering other people. All those people were beheaded, and he had killed a total of four. Since he is young, the law can’t do to much to him, but authorities say this is nothing new. More than 30,000 kids are associated with cartels, and organized crime. This kid also had illegal possession of military weapons, and was affiliated with drug-trafficking. In October, six kids were also arrested, and the proof was also right in their home. There was huge graffiti affiliated with the South Pacific Cartel.

Today I read about Chinese and Southeast Asian officials have agreed on a draft of guidelines to avert tension in the South China Sea. China, which had until now resisted taking part in a code of conduct, changed its mind during a meeting with senior officials of the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations, or ASEAN, in Bali, Indonesia, on Wednesday."This is an important milestone document on the cooperation among China and ASEAN countries," China's Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Zhenmin told reporters. "And we have a bright future and we are looking forward to future cooperation."
Today I Read about Prostituted child leaves 'game' for good. Bea made it home, the doors were locked. Her parents ignored her. She had missed curfew -- those were the rules. The child started to wander toward downtown Atlanta alone. A car pulled up beside her. Did she need a place to stay? She nodded and climbed in. Minutes later they arrived at a motel. "I didn't think I'd have to have sex with him I though it was just a nice person doing a nice deed. "I was a throwaway child," she says in a low voice. "At 12 years old I was on the street as well and I've had to do some things that normal people -- normal children -- should never have to do."
Today I read about A Greenwood man won $200,000 playing the South Carolina Education Lottery and didn't tell anyone - not even his wife. "I'm going to tell her," the winner said. "I want to make sure it's real first.“ He plans to surprise his wife, not with the check, but with paid bills. She's sure to have questions, among them how he won. He scratched the $200,000 Cash instant ticket alone in his car at a stop light. What he saw had him reaching for his glasses.
Thursday- Today I read about The sad truth for ridiculous Web memes is that they have remarkably poor shelf lives. So, farewell planking.
Hello, owling.Deciding that striking a "light as a feather, stiff as a board" pose in public, photographing it and posting it on the Web is old news, some Internet denizens have moved on."Owling is actually more of an indication of how big planking is," said Ben Huh, founder of the Cheezburger Network of sites and blogs, which focus largely on Internet humor and memes.
Joicei-Thursday I reaThe president and Congress reach a historic accord that reduces deficits by some $4 trillion over 10 years while also lifting the debt ceiling through the 2012 elections.
(b) They reach a much more modest agreement that lifts the debt ceiling in stages, includes spending cuts of some $1 trillion to $1.5 trillion but once again postpones the really tough decisions.

The defendant was transported to the courthouse compound in a military convoy. Because he is a minor, the public is not allowed inside the courtroom in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Only the judge, defense and prosecution attorneys, family members, and a human rights observer are allowed inside.
The defendant, known as "El Ponchis" ("The Cloak") is an American citizen who is 14 years old.
A video provided to CNN by the Mexican military shows the San Diego native after he was captured near Mexico City in December, as he allegedly was trying to flee. In an on-camera interrogation by Mexican military authorities, the youth admitted to brutally killing people -- the victims all were beheaded.
The video shows a military interrogator asking the slim teenager with curly hair several questions.
"How many have you killed?" he asks.
"Four," responds the accused, who seems calm and collected.
Democratic California Gov. Jerry Brown said Thursday he had signed a bill that will require public schools in the state to teach students about the contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual. They will provide instructors for the class there willing to give in a public school. He want this for our children will know more about people and how different people think and stare threw there view. What I think is that it would be not good or not bad.

7-22-11 Today I read an article with the name of Chilean officials declare 'catastrophe' after heavy snow. I read that Chilean officials declared a "catastrophe" in eight municipalities Wednesday after heavy snow blanketed communities and blocked roads in what the nation's interior minister called a "white earthquake. It has snowed more than ever," Curacautin Mayor Jorge Saquel told CNN Chile Tuesday. This is an anomaly. This worries us because the meteorologists assure us that new snowstorms are coming. This storm is strong and it is likely that in the coming days we could suffer from more bad weather fronts, more heavy snowfall, that make the situation even worse," Hinzpeter said. "But of course when this occurs, our government will always be on the side of those who are suffering, using all the tools provided by our legal system.
Friday. Today I read about the trial that continued for the 48-year-old woman who cut off her husband’s penis. She faces charges of torture, aggravated mayhem, great bodily injury, and personal use of a deadly weapon, in this case a knife. If convicted, she faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole. The judge set a bail of one million. Her defense wanted to ban cameras from inside the courtroom, stating that she would not receive a fair trial, and that once in prison she will receive many threats.

Today I read about, The arraignment of Catherine Kieu Becker, the Southern California woman accused of cutting off her husband's penis and throwing it into a garbage disposal, was continued Friday to September 23 at the request of her public defender. Orange County Superior Court Judge Debra Carrillo also set bail at $1 million for Becker, 48, who had been held without bail since her arrest this month. Becker is charged with torture and aggravated mayhem.

today i read about Law enforcement fatality figures nationwide have climbed during the first half of 2011, according to a preliminary report from the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
Ninety-eight officers were killed in the line of duty in the first six months of this year, the organization said in a news release Wednesday. The number represents a 14% spike in officer fatalities compared to the same time frame in 2010.
Steve Groeniger, senior director of communications for the fund, said the spike was significant given that 2010 was a particularly hard year for officers.
"The real takeaway for us here is that in addition to fatalities across the board being up 14% ... what really rises to the top is gunfire fatalities," Groeniger said.
Firearm fatalities have reached a 20-year high, replacing traffic accidents as the primary cause of law enforcement deaths, the report said. Forty officers were killed in firearms-related incidents in the first half of 2011, compared to 30 officers in all of 2010.
Thirty-five officers were killed in traffic-related fatalities. In all, traffic and firearms deaths accounted for 77% of all law enforcement fatalities in the first half of this year, the report says.
Today I read about Documents recovered from Osama bin Laden's compound in Pakistan show that al Qaeda spoke of attacking President Barack Obama and Gen. David Petraeus, a source familiar with the materials recovered from the compound said Friday. The documents refer to an attack that would destroy the aircraft carrying Obama and Petraeus in the region, the source said, referring to the Afghanistan, Pakistan area. The documents also referred in a more general way to a desire by al Qaeda to attack the president and Petraeus, who was will be departing soon as the U.S. military commander in Afghanistan. A U.S. official, who was not authorized to speak on the record, described the Bin Laden documents as "him in his brainstorming mode ... hey, I have an idea, what if we did this.“ U.S. forces killed bin Laden during a raid on May 2. They recovered documents and other material during the raid. Petraeus declined to comment, a spokesman said Friday. Another U.S. official said the documents showed bin Laden was interested in attacking the United States on the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. According to that official, bin Laden wrote about "identifying a team of operatives to attack the homeland." But the official said there was nothing specific and "it's unclear his discussions about those operatives were more than discussion.“ The first official said overall, the documents indicate "these were ideas, not fully or even partially planned plots.“ Other materials taken from Osama bin Laden's compound in Pakistan have confirmed that the al Qaeda leader communicated with the Yemen-based group al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, according to a third U.S. official, familiar with the ongoing U.S. analysis of the documents. The search through bin Laden's materials has also found direct evidence that while in hiding in Pakistan, bin Laden was encouraging direct plots to attack Americans and U.S. interests in Europe late last year, according to the U.S. official. There were several threats at the time that led the United States to issue an October 2010 alert for Americans traveling in Europe, the source emphasized. Bin Laden was "aware, supportive and trying to motivate his operatives in Europe. He was pushing them," the source said. The U.S. intelligence community had classified information at the time suggesting that bin Laden was involved, the U.S. official said, but the documents taken from the compound have provided confirmation. Officials have previously said bin Laden always placed a top priority on trying to attack Americans.

An Ohio jury on Friday found Anthony Sowell guilty in connection with the aggravated murder, kidnapping, sexual assault and abuse of corpses of 11 women around Cleveland between 2007 and 2009. The jury took less than three days to convict Sowell, who pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to 85 counts, among them, aggravated murder, abuse of a corpse, kidnapping and tampering with evidence.
Today I read about Thousands of bottles of alcohol were destroyed in Kabul this week, in what authorities described as the product of a crackdown on illegal smuggling and sales. The bottles were confiscated over a two-year period in and around the Afghan capital, according to Kabul police and criminal investigations chief Mohammad Zahir. They were taken almost exclusively from Afghan sources and not foreigners. The illicit items were being stored by Afghan customs officials, who burned the bottles Wednesday after receiving authorization from the city's attorney general's office, he added. Alcohol is largely banned in Afghanistan, and its sales and consumption considered a criminal offense for the country's. Muslims, who constitute roughly 99% of the population. Certain areas that cater to foreigners, however, are permitted to sell it. Zahir said that it was in these areas mostly international hotels that local sellers had come into possession of the alcohol.
Today I read about Authorities responded to a water main break in the Poway area that caused major road damage. The incident was reported about 6:15 p.m. at Twin Peaks and Tierra Bonita roads. According to a representative from the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, water came up from under the street. One witness told 10News the strong water flow appeared to be lifting the road. Crews had to divert traffic away from the roadway in order to halt the overflowing water. As of 8 p.m., there is no word on how the main break is affecting water service to businesses and homes in the area.

Only the judge, defense and prosecution attorneys, family members, and a human rights observer are allowed inside. In a video, the 14-year-old defendant tells an interrogator he has killed four people. A children's rights activist in Mexico says as many as 30,000 youths may be in organized crime. "I slit their throats," the American-born teenager says.
Joicei-Friday I read Islamist militants in Somalia have reversed a pledge to allow foreign aid agencies to operate in famine-struck regions in the nation.
''The lift of ban on aid agencies doesn't include the agencies that we banned earlier in areas we control because those agencies don't do relief work, they are spies and work on political agendas',"
At least 11 are seriously wounded in the Oslo attack, hospital says, a massive explosion rocks central Oslo; at least 7 people are killed a shooter attacks a Labour .Party youth came ,Police say they have good reason to believe the two incidents are linked, Norway came under deadly attack Friday with a massive bombing in the heart of its power center and a shooting at the ruling party's youth camp on an island outside the capital. At least seven people were killed in the blast in Oslo, police said. Oslo University Hospital reported receiving 11 people seriously wounded by the attack in the capital and eight others wounded in the camp shooting. Today I read about the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger being hospitalized after a serious surfing accident in Malibu, California. Christopher Schwarzenegger, the 13-year-old was slammed face on something that was on the beach. He was initially treated in an intensive care unit but was later moved to another unit in the unidentified hospital, the source said. "On behalf of our entire family, we want to sincerely thank the paramedics and lifeguards who responded so swiftly as well as the doctors, nurses, emergency room and hospital staff who have cared for our son," the family statement said.
Today Friday I read about If you thought Thursday was the biggest day so far in the four-plus-month NFL labor melodrama -- and it clearly was -- get ready for another unpredictable 48 hours or so that might just dwarf it in terms of significance. The next two days will be a Humpty Dumpty-like exercise, with the principals involved in these negotiations furiously trying to put the pieces back together of a conditional collective bargaining agreement that wound up being way more conditional than anyone had an inkling to expect. What happened to all that recent communication, those positive, optimistic vibes and the building sense of trust between the league owners and its players? All of that got washed nearly down the drain in the span of a couple tumultuous hours Thursday afternoon and evening, as the owners resoundingly approved a CBA proposal and then sat back and watched the players just as resoundingly reject it.
